Just for the record, I, too, went to the Avis Lube mentioned in Eric's story. This morning. And I was determined to be strong. Not buy a flipping thing they tried to sell me. Just get my oil changed, tires checked, and get the heck out of there.

Janie, I have had the same experience ..... sometimes, I just don't want to go there ..... I'm so tired of the sales-pichin' song-and-dance!
Me? I found out how long the oil change is expected to take. I leave the vehicle with them, and walk to a nearby convenience store for a glass of tea.

When I see that nasty filter, I give in. I know, I work in the oilpatch, but it gets nasty.
And it probably just needs blowing out, right?
