Clearfield Corners

It’s time for ThatManILove to come home. Seriously. The PA and the cold are Wearing. Him. Out. And he is in wait mode for some equipment to go to location.

Today, he called the office and talked to Mark, a VP in my company.

TMIL: Hey, Mark!

Mark: Hey, how’s it going up there?

TMIL: Great. Guess what I'm doing?

Mark: I don’t know. What?

TMIL: I’m stuck up in the upper northeast corner of my hotel room, and the only thing that’s holding me up here is static electricity. Fortunately, I had the presence of mind to hang on to myself.

Mark: (roars for freaking minutes.) Cold up there, is it?

TMIL: Freakin’ 18 degrees!

Ummmm. Yeah. Maybe you had to be there.

Hey, I'm in PA and it's rather tame up here right now. If he's in Clearfield though, that's like a different state even though it's only about an hour from me. I think all that warm weather thins your blood ;)

Yup, sounds familiar. Pretty soon any day in the teens will be a good day...

He's in Clearfield. And has to go daily up on top of Keating Mountain, where it's still almost 12" of snow. And yeah. He came home to Texas for the weekend and he still couldn't get warm, even though it was about 60 degrees. It was funny.

Ann - It was 23 here yesterday, which is definitely out of the norm. It's usually 80 on Christmas!

CarolinaGirl - wanna babysit them? They.are.wearing.me.out! But thanks, they're really sweet. You can search Zack, Zanna and Zoie and there are some hilarious stories about them on this blog.

You don't have to tell me about cold. I live only one hour from Clearfield! Kids had a two-hour delay this morning and we'll have over a foot of snow before tomorrow night. Great for skiing, but not for driving.

Gretchen - you have to be kidding!!!

Girl. If I come back up there, we are SO getting together!

I knew you were north of Pittsburgh, I just didn't put two and two together. Sorry.

It is a unseasonably cold and frigid 65 degrees here in L.A. Coats, Uggs, gloves, scarves and mittens have all been spotted. And, get this, we are going to have RAIN!

That Janie Girl said...

Belette - please please please send some rain our way! We SO need it!

Stay warm!

Now that's some static electricity!

We know it's winter around here, because instead of begging to be petted the cats run from me. I guess being shocked with every stroke is not their cup of kibble.

Eep! Eighteen!! He so needs to come home.

It's been 30-ish here and I was about to freeze to death, so NoStar went out and bought me a heated mattress pad for the bed, because the sheets were so cold at night and my feet were like blocks of ice.

That's funny about the static!

It's a little chilly here too...lots of ice and snow. Yuck!

Wow global warming strikes again....right now in San Francisco it's 42 degrees and windy. That is so cold for SF. Plus my family in L.A are wearing an extra pair of knickers to stay warm. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.

Amy - I'll tell him you had 9 degree weather. That will make his day!

Terri - Glad to see you on the blog! I don't think I'm going to sell it, but I'll let you know.

Jill - had a delay, coming this week instead. I'll call you.

Sabrae - yup, he said it's colder than...never mind.

Junosmom- stay warm, chica!

VodkaMom - I think our men are getting together today! Send liquor!

Foo - yeah, well...ummm....static. So that doesn't mean I need to turn you in to SPC Cats, does it? good to hear from you!

Chatelaine - That NoStar is pretty sweet. Stay warm!

Simplicity - I wish you could meet him, he's really funny!

Laura - 42 degrees in SF? That's crazy! What are knickers? ;)
