Be safe out there...

What y’all wanna bet this little corner of the ol’ oilpatch will be shut down tomorrow?

Thank God we drive 4WD vehicles…

If it’s bad, they'll make us stay home manana and trabaje de la casa. No reason to be out and about when you’re in touch via telephone and laptop.

Stay safe out there.

What does "shut down" mean exactly?

The teenager and I are home today, no school. The husband went to the office an hour later than usual. He didn't have any problems. Mostly just north of us, the more outlying areas of town. The bridges and overpasses were bad, though. Lots of ramps to enter and exit freeways were closed this morning by the city.

Jim - shut down means...well, it means a plethora of things. Our trucks will not be moving from location to location, due to permit and safety issues. Drilling rigs will be waiting on our service trucks, which will add another whole level of cost, and hardship. Our fracturing services will not be able to operate, for the same reasons.
All of this will ultimately deliver a cause and effect situation of scheduling for the next couple of weeks.

Karen, I heard a rumor that IAH and Hobby were shut down, as well. Hope not - your town serves as our travel hub to go anywhere!

Pretty bad up there in Fake Cow County, Spooky?

I really think it's warming up here...not sure, though.
