Put De Lime In The Coconut, Stir It All Up

By the time you read this post, we’ll be in the beautiful hill country of Texas at Lake LBJ. We rented another lakehouse, so stay tuned for more adventures from Janie and ThatManILove! Our friends Doug and Rita will be staying with us, and it's going to be a joy to see them again!

Our nephew is getting married tomorrow night, at his parents’ beautiful retreat. If I understand it correctly, the wedding will take place on the lawn, by the lake. It’s a 6 p.m. wedding, so hopefully, there will be a beautiful sunset starting around that time.

On the invitation, it was noted that proposed clothing is supposed to be “lakeside attire”. Does anyone have a freakin’ clue what that means? One of my peers suggested a grass skirt and coconut shell bra.

I don’t think so, Tim.

Pictures to follow!

Sundress, no shoes. For TMYL, slacks, open collared shift, no shoes.

People really need to be specific when they're suggesting a dress code. Lakeside attire to me means flannel shirts and jeans in the cooler months, a bathing suit and khaki short in the summer. Pics should be interesting since they've left it up to the subjectivity of the guests. Here's hoping everyone goes for the Ralph Lauren "tacky khaki" look. Have fun! :o)

I didn't know that Steve lake attire, was his birthday suit. It is scary seeing him in the morning.

I like the Minnesota lake attire!
And sundress would be good, but it looks like winter out there...
Sara - thanks!
Paige - I'm thinking tacky khaki look, too.
Doug - Steve says he's not wearing his birthday suit, so we're good there. And I saw you this morning and you were pretty scary, too! But we'll all have fun at this wedding, huh?

For my readers - we, our friends, and Younger Son just finished breakfast...late, huh? We're all still in our pajamas, noone was in their birthday suit. Be at peace.

Just a hat and flip flops.

Just a hat and sunglasses??? I don't know what goes on in LA, but in the Midwest, some form of torso-covering is definitely in order.

looking forward to the photos...when the dresscode is that vague you can get a really interesting assortment.....Lake Como or Lake Laouise implies something completely different than say, Lake Travis, or Dam B
