I've Created A Monster

I introduced ThatManILove to Facebook.

Last night, I couldn't sleep.  Somehow, I woke him up, as well.

Next thing I knew, he was logging into his FB account on his crackberry and posting an update.

Now he says he's going to start an anonymous blog.

Oh, Lordy...What have I done???

My best friend, who didn't really even use a cell phone or email before, much less a computer, found Facebook from watching a TV show, organized a high school reunion with it, and has now become obsessed with finding every person she's ever met in her 43 years of life.

I don't know what to make of her. It's baffling how people really get addicted to it.

So a few weeks ago I signed up for facebook myself ... and now I have heard from people I haven't heard from since High School. Never even dreamed of the internet in HS now I'm connecting with past friends over 20 years later, IT'S FANTASTIC! Plus I can keep up with my nephews, now I need to get the rest of the family on.

That is HILARIOUS!!!! If I could pry you know who off the stock pages, he might enjoy it too. But then we would never talk or have sexual relations. I am keeping my mouth SHUT!!!!!!!

You have put cutting edge technology into the hands of the opposition.

What were you thinking???

I'm not sure about Facebook yet. And yes, you have created a monster, now whacha gonna do?

When you start updating each other via Facebook in the middle of the night (and you're in the same bed), that's when trouble starts! ;-)

Let's not get this out of perspective: what you have done is introduce the one you love to Face Book. Brave, but not the end of the world.

Same situation here. I knew my husband, who has a wide-ranging esoteric span of interests and knowledge, would get a kick out of Facebook. Sadly for me, I was right. It's the friend-count competition that gets me -- and which one of us gets to have who as a friend. Sort of like dividing up friendships post-divorce
