Don't I live in the desert?

I woke up early this morning, let Zack out, and came back in.

Later, Zack wanted out again, and I opened the door to find that rain was pouring down. It only lasted a bit, though, and it was over.

We went out for breakfast, met a friend, and then ran out to Bob and Cherie's for a couple of minutes. Came back into town, went to Home Depot and picked up some things, and started home again, and it's raining solidly now.

Sweet, sweet, sweet.

After weeks of nothing, we finally got just enough rain to turn the weeds a bright shade of green. Lawn looks a bit healthier, but still mostly burned out. Need more. If y'all don't use it all up, send it on over to Tennessee.

We found your rain, right here in Space City. We've had a record breaking summer for rainfall. Unreal. The up side, though, is that our a/c doesn't run so much as the temps are not so scorching. The lawns are really green, too, not the usual dry, brown of July.

Have you guys been having a drought? We've only recently come out of our Noah's Ark period, but I didn't realize our wet weather was so localized.

Winston - I thought it was raining in your part of the country, too! Isn't Tennesee usually really green?

Karen - it rained again today, it's great. I like the cooler weather, as well. But the humidity is something we usually don't deal with - so that's been a change!

Foo - no,sir - though we've not had as much rain as y'all, by any means. It has been really nice to get all this rain.

Ba Doozie, we definitely need rain. I think we're playing catch up for the last 10 years of drought!

Poet - I know y'all need rain up there, too...hopefully you'll be getting some soon...
