Monday Morning Ruidoso Time

Above are some pix of the dogs. You think they're having fun, by the way they're staring at that door? The answer is YES!. Zanna has come upon deer several times, and she thinks they’re fun to chase. We think she’s never going to come back when she takes off, but she does. I think she thinks that they’re big dogs. Zack has disappeared once himself, but he came back as well. All your training goes out the window when the dogs are exposed to new circumstances like deer, we've learned the hard way. And the terrain is just too rough to keep them on leashes, hence the e-collars.

We’re winding down on our mountain trip - we’ll leave this beautiful place on Wednesday. We’ve had a beautiful, relaxing time and the weather has been awesome here. I think we’re heading to the golf course today, time will tell!

Thanks for sticking by me during this funky time in my life!

XOXOXOXO

Ruidoso! I am SO envious! The best cure there is for West Texas heat.

Ruidoso is a great place. If you want to see some Stellar Jays and maybe a Scrub Jay, go down to True Value on Mechem Drive. Buy a bag of peanuts and just put a few on the deck railing. They also sell the plastic hummingbird feeders. You can take it home with you. My mom-in-law has a place on White Mtn. and when we still lived in Midland, we went up there all the time. Now we live in Colorado but we still meet the whole family down there for Christmas. Try the barbecue place on Mechem between Cree Meadows Dr and Sudderth. Have a great time and watch out for the deer on your way back to Roswell. I managed to not miss one last year. $5000 damage to our Navigator. Deer was DOA also. Have a great time.

We're looking at buying another home there in the near future and then I hope to eventually spend the summers there. *sigh*

We have deer in our yard every day at differing hours. Your dogs would go CRAZY here.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

So, now Zack has an electronic collar, too? Well, I never! When we were in Riodoso several years ago, I was amazed at the number of deer that seemed to come almost up to our porch. Glad you have been able to unwind a bit. Diane has a perfect job for you...;). give us a call when you get home, will ya?

I just read your comment at Julie's, which better explains your happiness! I too, got asked about 3 times "Will you marry me?" With me always saying "no".

It seems that the good ones hang in there without threats of leaving.

Happy us!!!!

That second picture is a great action frozen shot of your pup. Hit the greens, chica. That'll help get out any hold-out kinks.

See ya soon!

I passed a few deer yesterday coming home from the lake and they are tall and lean like my boy and the same colouring! I think, the way he was so desperately trying to get out, that he thought they were long lost cousins! I so love dogs!
