Saved By The....Recuperating Advisor (From Her Bed)

Thanks for your prayers and thoughts yesterday - they worked!

Thanks to his advisor, who is home recuperating from surgery but thankfully replied to my e-mail just in the nick of time, Younger Son was able to go in and register his classes through the Music Department advisors, get all his original classes plus some, and came out with a full 18 hours. He was able to totally skip the “registration” hassle. And, because Younger Son got to talk to actual music teachers and advisors, he’s pumped about his classes.

Music is his passion. We’re hoping that these classes will springboard him towards a career. I’m excited for him!

And, by the way, ThatManILove has withdrawn my casket order.

I’m safe. And thankful. I don’t think I could take getting laid off AND buried in the same month.

Awe that is fantastic and what a relief. Great for the inspiration to the younger son too.

HAHAHA, I read that last line as, "I don't think I could take getting laid and buried in the same month."

Glad it all worked out okay. Will I see you Saturday?

I have to admit that I thought the same thing Fragrant Liar did. . . "Laid and buried in the same month."

Let's hear it for That Man You Love!

Now, I know TMYL was cranky with you, but I had every faith that he was NOT going to truly measure you for a casket...who would he fuss with if you were gone? Ha! Is nonpayment of college tuition as bad as nonpayment-really late payment of life insurance premiums? Nah, but I'm still here. TBO just shakes his head at me. It is a good thing they love us, huh? And that they know who was the Matchmaker? ;)

for him Janie. 18 hours was more than I could handle in school. That Younger Son of yours must have his head on straight. And I dig music too, so I am kinda stoked for him too!

Hope you all have a good day, Janie!

Oh my gosh! Well, you have had a month. I'm so glad you're on the mend and everything worked out with the Boy's classes. That was something I worried about for weeks - that he'd get dropped from his classes. The nightmares I had! So sorry it happened to you, but at least it all worked out in the end. :o)

This is the first I've heard that you lost your job (sorry -- the new novel is really eating into my blogging time). I was there just last November, and, although I don't make as much money I LOVE my new job.

Things will work out for you, just as they did for your son.

I'm sorry to hear you were laid off. We can relate around here. Good, though, you got your son back to school. My son is sitting this semester out and I hope he gets his stuff together soon!
