Prayer, please

Elder Son was one of four involved in a car flooding accident last night and one of their friends tragically lost her life.

Please pray for her family and all of the young people whose lives were intertwined with the life of this beautiful young lady.

Glad your son is ok physically. Was Rachel a Christian? I'll be sending some prayer your way!

Did you take your original post about this down? I mentioned I'd pray for her family.
I thought the story sounded familiar. Naturally, the Chronicle is our paper here and I read it daily. I think, though, I saw the story on the local news tv broadcast, too.
Tragic.

All - thanks for your prayers and comments.

I did take the second post down, and thanks to those who commented on it prior to me taking it down. I hope y'all understand.

What a tragedy. While thankful that your son is alive, I'm sure he is far from "okay." I'll pray for Rachel's family and friends. I'm so sorry.

Thanks, Gwynne.

Wow, Janie... that's scary. It's the kind of thing that I see on the news every year, every time we get some heavy rains, but it always sounds like one of those things that happens to people you don't know.

I can only imagine how bad your son must be feeling, and I'll keep him in my prayers.

Thanks, Foo. Prayers are appreciated.

Janie,

Such a tragic thing to happen to a young woman. Glad to hear your son is ok.

Rising water is one of the scariest road hazzards. For some reason, people (even those who swim well) never consider the danger. Maybe the combination of feeling safe in a big vehicle, or the illusion that the current is not that strong.

Thanks, Pattie.
