I woke up this morning, took a Claritin (preventative, I might add!), put allergy eye drops in, hopped in the shower, and started to get ready. Somethings blooming around here (and yeah, it was 32 degrees Saturday) and it’s kicking my butt.
First....makeup, then hair.
I was just finishing with my hair when it started. My left eye went crazy, watering.
Makeup, and all, melted down to my chin.
Did I say it hurt?
It hurt.
So, I wash my eye. Now, I’m really looking good. Like one of those before and after commercials. One side, completely made up, the other, looking like crap.
My eye quits watering.
I start over on that eye....eye shadow, little bit of liner, little bit of mascara. I don’t wear that much makeup, people.
I get up to get dressed, and here it all goes again. PLUS my eye starts swelling. I run to the sink, take it all off, and ThatManILove grabs an ice pack.
I lay down on the bed, with the ice pack over my eye.
Finally, about an hour later, I’m able to get out of the house with some semblance of being “put together.”
My eye’s still watering. I’ve taken my second dose of allergy medicine, which, by the way, gives me a headache.
There might be something to be said for the frozen tundra and the lack of allergies thereof.

Same thing going on in Dallas...I've been out of it and woozy all day. If the hives and watering eyes start, I'm not going outside again until November!!
Yup, up here on the news they said the air was even affecting people that didn't have asthma or allergies. I think I'll just go back to bed.
Boy I understand that all too well!! I take prescription allergy meds all year round now...never used to have to! And prescription eye drops. And I carry an epi-pen...
I think I'm going to go shoot myself now! Quite miserable! ;)
In the spring I have to keep a wet facecloth by my bed so I can put it on my eyes in the morning in order to open them.
I'm still single...
LOL
That is sad to read but And I wish speedy recovery for you. Get well soon. And yes, I have seen during such problems we have to think when was we last not well And did that is a past now. If yes, this will be past too very soon. Do not worry.
Prayers.
left side... you still look foxy
You look stellar no matter what. Are you sure it's not something in your make-up?
Oh you poor thing. I had eye problems all last week.. it was a sty that came along with the horrible cold I had for a week. Finally both are gone.
Sounds like you may need the Claritin every day. Do you take the Claritin D or the regular?

I haven't wanted to take my eyes out of their sockets more than I did yesterday and scratch the b-jesous out of them. I'm miserable too. Hope you feel better.
Tightwad is having surgery TOMORROW morning to try to help this issue.
It's been hell for him for 40 years now.
I hear ya. heifer.
Allergies are a pain. The newer nasal allergy sprays do not work for me, so I have to take a mix of Zrytec, Clartin, and childrens Benadryl. Zrytec is long dose (12 Hrs), Clartin is short term and childrens Benadryl is chewable and is instant. Yeah, I know that this is mixing meds but we have figured out that this combo is what works.
I have the most sensitive eyes on the planet. Luckily we don't have too much allergins around here, cuz if we did I'd be an eye watering mess of a girl.
Cute pic. :)
That's you with allergies?
Ny dear, you look phine :)
I hear you Sistah, allergies are h&ll for me too!
